Things to do in the Nashville Area
Hermitage is a suburb of Nashville and is located in Davidson County It is located about 15 miles east of Nashville, TN. It's most famous resident was President Andrew Jackson, and no visit would be complete without a tour of The Hermitage , it's museum and gardens. Nashville Shores Waterpark and Treetop Adventure, located nearby on Percy Priest Lake, it a great place to spend a hot summer day. If golf is your passion, you'll enjoy the 36 hole Hermitage Golf Course.
Mount Juliet is another lakefront community with wonderful parks and marinas and boat access ramps. It also boasts plentiful shopping and a movie theater at the Providence Marketplace as well as numerous restaurants. It's also home to Pine Creek Golf Course if you want to spend a day on the links.
Nashville, TN is famous for it's nightlife, professional sports teams and fine dining, but it also has numerous opportunities for enjoying the outdoors as well. There are 8 state parks within an hour drive of the city; Long Hunter State Park, Bledsoe Creek State Park, Cedars of Lebanon, Radnor Lake State Park, Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, Harpeth River State Park, Montgomery Bell State Park and Edgar Evans State Park. The Opryland Hotel complex is a must-see, especially at Christmas! And you can take in a show at the Grand Ole Opry or take a river cruise on the General Jackson.
