Long Hunter State Park

Long Hunter State Park is a scenic and diverse outdoor recreation area situated in Hermitage, Tennessee, approximately 20 miles east of downtown Nashville. Spanning over 2,600 acres, the park offers a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy.

The park is centered around J. Percy Priest Lake, a large reservoir formed by the Stones River. This picturesque lake serves as a focal point for various water-based activities, such as boating, fishing, swimming, and water skiing. There are multiple boat ramps available for easy access to the lake.  Additionally, there is the 110 acre Couchville Lake offering many additional recreational activities including a 2 mile paved walking trail around the lake.

Couchville Lake

Couchville Lake offers a variety of recreational activities. Fishing is one of the most popular activities, and the lake is stocked with various fish species, including largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. Anglers can fish from the shore or launch their boats in designated areas.
